Monitoring -
If the fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night when there is nobody there, who’s going to call the fire brigade?
RedCare Fire is a highly secure method of automatically transmitting a signal from your premises to summon the Fire Brigade, Key holder, Fire Alarm Engineer or anyone you want it to.
So when your Fire Alarm goes off it can automatically call the Fire Brigade or your Service Provider, but when it goes into fault it will call your Service Provider.
How does it Work
The RedCare Fire system works by sending a signal from your Fire Alarm Panel to our
Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC), sometimes known as a “Central Station”, using your
existing BT telephone line.
The RedCare Fire signal is digitally encoded on the telephone line and does not use
conventional "telephone dialling" to convey a messages. So the signal does not interfere
with normal telephone traffic, cannot be blocked by another call and there are no
call charges.
There is a continual dialogue between the STU and the RedCare Fire computers. If the signal is lost the ARC your Service Provider is immediately notified and work is put in hand to rectify the fault. If a Fire Signal is raised, the RedCare Fire computers will relay the message to the ARC within seconds, ensuring a fast response to your alarm activation. Depending on which signal is received the ARC will follow the instruction for that signal e.g. Fire Alarm; Call the Brigade, followed by call the key holder & Service provider. The RedCare Fire can be linked to the
Fire Alarm System, Extinguishing System or the Aspirating Smoke Detection System.
To
eliminate unwanted calls and to accommodate changing routines the ARC can follow
different instructions depending on the date and time. For example between 9 and
5 Monday to Friday a signal from the fire alarm should result in a call to the site
first and only call the brigade if there is no response or to your Service Provider.
Benefits
In short, RedCare Fire offers a lot of important benefits:
No need for an extra telephone line Continual monitoring 24 hours a day High speed alarm transmission in a matter of seconds Signals transported even while the phone is in use
A network which is duplicated to ensure a high level of resilience No additional call charges Instant detection if your phone line has been cut or damaged Immunity from radio interference
RedCare Fire is acknowledged and endorsed by insurers as the most secure method of
alarm signalling in the world & is recommended in the current set of British Standards
